Synesthesia
Many of the world's most influential and talented artists have been blessed with experiencing synesthesia, a rare phenomenon where your brain blends your senses.
For musicians this allows them to see sounds and for chefs to experience food as a symphony of color! Can you even imagine that!? A few major artists that have said they experience synesthesia are Kanye, Pharrell, and Lorde. 🎶
“I did shrooms once, and OMG! It was like my synesthesia was on steroids. Normally I can see patterns of colors when I listen to music, but on shrooms I had very very detailed images with truly breathtaking colors and locales. It was very much in a fantasy like setting, with huge trees and enormous leaves, and waterfalls pouring onto leaves, which then poured onto leaves on lower branches. There was even a goddess like being that kind of resembled Shiva the Hindu goddess overlooking everything, and protecting all the Earth’s creatures in the area. Just these stunning stunning visuals, and these beautiful amazing colors. Keep in mind I have associative synesthesia, so I didn’t literally see these images. I just closed my eyes and let the images come into my mind just like normal synesthesia, but times a million.”
